Richard Gene “Dick” Neal (1945-2014)

 

Richard Gene “Dick” Neal passed away on Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, in Austin, TX. He was born April 13, 1945, in Plainview, TX, to Eugene and Yvonne Neal. He was a resident of Dripping Springs.
Dick had many jobs throughout his life.  He worked for the Texas Highway Department in Lubbock for 13 years; he worked with his wife, Sheila, at West Texas Hearing Aid Center in Odessa, and worked for Southside Wrecker for over 11 years after moving to the Austin area.
Dick was a longtime member of Onion Creek Masonic Lodge #220 and a member of the Onion Creek Eastern Star.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially deer hunting with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sheila Neal; son, Barry Neal and his wife, Brigit; son, Brandon Neal; daughter, Jennifer Neal; daughter, Tina Perry; and daughter, Cindy Estoll and her husband, Ricky; brother, Jimmy Neal and his wife, Karen, of Lubbock, TX; sister, Cathe Dickson and her husband, Jimmy, of Jacksonville, TX; 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild as well as two good friends in Larry Johnson and Leroy Hemry.
A visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at Harrell Funeral Home. 
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday morning at Harrell Funeral Home in Dripping Springs.
